Genre research task

Genre research Task 1. The genre i have picked is Horror.'The NUN'.  2. In horror films there is a lot of interesting content which engages readers to continue watching the rest of the episodes. The characters are dressed in dark gloom colours for example black, red, dark blue. The theme would be protection of the innocent, the settings in Horror films are in a haunted house or set at night time to create a much more vicious scene building tension. The setting of horror films would attract the audience as this would present the character as being creepy and scary. The signifiers for example, the theme would be a dark spooky place where there is no bright lights as darkness indicates the main story of Horror. There would be a lot action which could lead to someone being killed which could lead to the film becoming more interesting and engaging. Horror genre s have lots of different sub genres and closely related genres. For example, 'The Hills have eyes'.  With ho

Analysing Hawaii Five-O

Analysing Hawaii Five-O 1.   The features in Hawaii Five-o which suggested TV crime drama were the change of the lighting and how it was similar to what was going on in the episode. For example, when the lighting went dark it suggested that something major was going to happen. Another feature in the programme which suggested TV crime drama is how the setting changed quickly. For example, when the setting was loud and crowded this is when the shooting would begin.Another feature in the programme which created a sense of TV crime drama is the sound effects and how the characters were acting fast. For example, when there was a high pitch of volume something sinister was about to happen or when there is a high mysterious sound effects this denotates someone is about to get killed.   2.   The subgenre in Hawaii Five-O is action, mystery and adventure as there is a lot of murder and fighting going on. Examples of Intertextuality and open text

Image
This is an example of open text with a meaning of anchored through text. This is because the text anchors everything someone needs to know about Galaxy chocolate. However, if the text was taken away the image has nothing to do with chocolate. This image clearly anchors that Galaxy chocolate can make you look silk and something amazing to eat. This open text advert illustrates that having a Galaxy chocolate can bring you into the world of happiness and brightness. This is an example of Intertextuality because they have imitated spiderman just like how Mary Jane is kissing spiderman. The image clearly illustrates that they both are trying to copy someone famous such as spiderman. This image of Shrek and fiona   states that no text is fully original meaning there aren't many texts written without influence from some other text or film. A great example of  intertextuality  is the movie,  Shrek. One obvious example of  intertextuality  can be found in the much-loved film,  Shrek .
