Written Analysis
In the world of film industry there is a process of ways how films are made. They are development, pre-production, production, post production and distribution. This is from when the film is green lit to when it is delivered to the audience. An example of a successful film is Avengers Endgame as everything is clear and as it took time to be released signifies they were fully prepared before anything was leaked, to make sure the audience were happy and expecting the best, due to why it was so successful.
The first production stage is 'development' which involves ideas being generated funding being secured. The second production stage is pre-production where storyboards are added and rehearsals are starting to take place. The third production stage is production where visual affects are being produced and edited which involves the integration of live-action footage and generated imagery to create environments which look realistic. The fourth stage is 'post production' which is when the footage is edited and everything is coming together, there may be still some tweaks to fix before actually releasing the film, to make sure everything is perfect. The production is refined and resolved considering the intention, audience. For example, the release of Alone in the Dark (2005), which no one found interesting, which signifies everything that was done and the expenses they paid for would never be cleared. This stage includes special effects being added such as change of costumes or background settings. The final stage is distribution where the film is delivered to people when they buy it on DVDs, and the film is shown in cinemas. At this point, the creator would await on feedback and improve their next release with the feedback they may get to make sure they are not in a big amount of debt.
Its important that pre-production and planning done as it is very costly if things do go wrong and can lead to the film becoming very unsuccessful. There are a lot of uniquely expenses in the film industry, such as hiring a location then last minute wanting to change in to something else. Pre-production is essential as ideas are shared and this is how everything will stay in budget. It allows organising and being sure of what parts are being played in which scene or when the setting would change and when the content is being produced. Pre production allows teamwork to be accurate and communication between different characters to make sure the interest of the audience is being met. For example, making a storyboard of what someone has an idea of and sketching on different costumes would be beneficial and quicker way to make everything easier. Also a storyboard is a graphical representation of how they are going to shoot the film, shot by shot. Another example is having call sheets ready which is something that has to be prepared beforehand to make sure the film is successful, as it includes emergency actions and contact information for each character. This allows no valuable time to be wasted and everything done at a good pace.
