This print advert i have created, presents the shampoo Pantene as being a refreshing and smooth product as of the waterfall the two combinations of colour link together. The connotations of the fresh background suggests your hair could become as clean as the background. The connotations of green refers to organic products which have been put in the shampoo to make your hair look fresh, smoother and silkier. The Pantene shampoo bottle's colour 'white' creates an image of cleanliness of the product and how the product stands out from the background of the print advert. This print advert denotes that Pantene can make your hair look clean like the waterfall. The refreshing background of the trees looking green creates a sense of other items which may have been added to the product to make it more nature like. The simple 'PANTENE' logo presents the product as being clean (colour of white) and refreshing. The text being in bold makes it stand out well and is easy to be eye-catched. The strapline 'hair so healthy! You shine!' convinces people to buy this product as they will want healthy shiny hair and the fact that it is stated that Pantene is the worlds #1 hair care brand. The colour of the text in 'green' combinates with the trees which look fresh and organic. The print advert as a whole suggests Pantene shampoo is full of nature products and can make anyone's hair from being frizzy and rough to smooth and silky.
Examples of Intertextuality and open text
This is an example of open text with a meaning of anchored through text. This is because the text anchors everything someone needs to know about Galaxy chocolate. However, if the text was taken away the image has nothing to do with chocolate. This image clearly anchors that Galaxy chocolate can make you look silk and something amazing to eat. This open text advert illustrates that having a Galaxy chocolate can bring you into the world of happiness and brightness. This is an example of Intertextuality because they have imitated spiderman just like how Mary Jane is kissing spiderman. The image clearly illustrates that they both are trying to copy someone famous such as spiderman. This image of Shrek and fiona states that no text is fully original meaning there aren't many texts written without influence from some other text or film. A great example of intertextuality is the movie, Shrek. One obvious example of intertextuality can be found in the much-loved film, Shrek .
